#cenote #kids #visited ## Review Cenotes Santa Bárbara (Santa Barbara for search purposes) is an hacienda about 1.5 hours driving southwest of [[Mérida]], featuring four separate cenotes: * *Cenote Cascabel*, a [[Cenote#Closed Cenote]] * *Cenote Chacsinkin*, a [[Cenote#Semi-Open Cenote]] * *Cenote Xooch*, an [[Cenote#Open Cenote]] that is typically featured on advertisements for Santa Bárbara due to its beauty * *Cenote Pool Cocom*, a recently developed, mostly [[Cenote#Open Cenote]] that has an elevator down to the water level allowing for accessibility by all The cenotes are up to a kilometer apart, but there is a horse-drawn cart, bicycles, and a bus available for transportation between them. There is also a restaurant on site that has pretty good local Yucatecan food and beer. Definitely worth a trip, especially if you can make a stop at [[Mayapán]] along the way. Don't forget your swimsuit and towel. ## Photos ![](https://imagedelivery.net/ovR1Qijui3Wbt-cTc_WcPg/2515ff88-b0ce-4767-ba73-b98b4a7b8100/web) *(September 4, 2023) Guests swimming in Cenote Pool Cocom at Santa Bárbara.* Canon EOS R3, EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM @ 24mm, f/5.6, 1/200s ## Further Reading > [!tip] 365 Días en Yucatán: [#3 Cenoteando en truck](https://yucatan.travel/experiencia/003-cenoteando-en-truck/)
