#hotel #visited ## Review One of the three hotels that we stayed in on rotation when checking on home building progress. (Other two are [[Villa Mercedes Merida (Hilton)]] and [[Courtyard Merida Downtown]]). Had the most consistent quality of stay out of the three hotels, but the beds and pillows are uncomfortable. Food at their first floor restaurant, Spasso Cucina Italia, was average. We saw AMLO, the then-President of Mexico, outside this Hyatt one day so it seems to be his preferred hotel. He glowed in his white guayabera in the Mérida sun, a singular figure with no visible guards present – with of course some soldiers and military trucks keeping watch hidden around the corner.
