Once the main port for henequen export, it is now known for its quiet beaches, mangroves, and historical fort. ## Review Beach town about 1 hour northwest of [[Mérida]]. The best place for us to go to the beach – less populated and less developed compared to [[Progreso]], and not as far as [[Celestún]].
